Create a PDF Link Without Signing Up First: Upload, Verify, Share

You can start on PDF to Link without opening a separate signup page: choose your PDF on the homepage first. To publish it, you must then verify an email address and choose a password; that step creates a free account. If you need truly anonymous uploading with no email or account at all, this is not that workflow.

How does upload-first verification work?

The uploader is available on the homepage, so you can check your file and begin before creating credentials. The account step appears in context after file selection. It protects your ability to return to the document, change settings, and view analytics later.

  1. Choose a PDFSelect a PDF on the homepage. The Free limit is one document up to 50 MB.
  2. Enter your emailRequest a six-digit verification code. An existing account should sign in instead.
  3. Verify and set a passwordSubmit the code and a password of at least eight characters. This creates your free account and signs you in.
  4. Publish and copy the linkWait for the upload and publishing steps to finish. Copy the reading-page URL or its QR code from the result.

Does the recipient need to sign up?

A recipient can normally open an unprotected published reading link without creating a PDF to Link account. If the document owner adds a document password, the recipient must enter that password. The uploader's account requirement and the reader's access requirement are different questions.

Before sending a link widely, open it in a private browser window. That confirms the recipient experience without relying on your signed-in dashboard session.

What if you need genuinely anonymous uploading?

Look for a service that explicitly states no email and no account are required for the uploader, then review its file-size, retention, deletion, and privacy rules. PDFtoLink.org currently advertises a no-signup upload option; that is a different account model from PDF to Link's upload-first verification.

Do not upload confidential documents to an anonymous host just because it removes a form. Check who can open the link, whether you can revoke it, and how long the host keeps the file.

What does the free PDF to Link account include?

The Free plan currently allows one active PDF, up to 50 MB. You can manage the document, set a document password, share its reading link and QR code, and review the available reading analytics. If you need more documents or a larger file, the upload flow presents Standard and Pro options with their actual checkout amounts before payment.

A free account does not imply a public document. You control whether to add a password, and you should still verify that the published URL behaves as intended before distributing it.
